Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep. Many women suffer sleep disturbances during the menopausal phase of life. Stress, anxiety, and hormonal fluctuations are some of the main causes of insomnia. Hot flashes and night sweats disturb sleep leading to depression, and mood swings. If the nervous system is overstimulated, then sleep is evasive.
Iyengar Yoga can calm the nerves and improve sleep. In this workshop, Kim Lu will lead you through a sequence of practices aimed to calm the nervous system and the adrenal glands to help the over-activity of the brain and to welcome sleep and relaxation.

In this workshop Vic will introduce Iyengar Yoga system. If you are planning to start your yoga practice or are new to yoga this workshop will give you a overview of yoga practice, history and philosophy. Our goal is to help you build a strong foundation and will correct alignment so you can enjoy the physical and mental benefits of a holistic yoga practice.
